Pig Skills Manuals: A system of on-farm training for new or inexperienced people, which provides a carefully-structured and consistent approach to teaching practical, observational and pig management skills.
Pig Skills Videos: A series of 45 instructional videos based on the PPT Pig Skills Manuals and designed to complement the on-farm training programme.
Pig Management Courses: A series of six one-day classroom-based courses designed for experienced stockpersons and department supervisors. The courses cover a wide and comprehensive range of material from introduction of gilts into the herd to the marketing of slaughter pigs.
Pig Handling Courses: A specialised programme designed to help operators to understand pig behavior and use this knowledge to improve their pig moving techniques, reducing stress on the pig.
Leadership Skills Training: The PPT Leadership Skills Workshops have been developed specifically to meet the needs of people moving from a technical role into a supervisory position and then into a farm manager’s job.
